Wisdom and Temptation | Proverbs 7
We are six weeks into our winter series that we have been calling The Wisdom of Proverbs: A Life Well Lived. As we have learned, wisdom comes from the Hebrew word that means skill. Proverbs was written in order to teach people how to live in God’s good world, giving them the skills and abilities needed to please Him. In addition, we have learned that the foundation of this wisdom is the fear of the LORD—this is where a life of understanding begins. This week we will be discussing another topic, Wisdom and Temptation. To be clear, temptation and sin are not the same. Temptation is the invitation to rebel against God, and sin occurs when the invitation is accepted. In this lesson, we will learn how temptation presents evil as safe and enticing while covering up the consequences of sin. Join us this Sunday at 10:30am as we study and apply these principles to our lives.
