Forgiven and Called to Obedience | 1 John 2:1-14
Recently, we started a new series called The Letters of John: A Study of First, Second, and Third John. The purpose of this series is to explore the truths found in John’s letters and apply them to our lives, and what we will discover is that all three epistles were written to help believers live the Christian life. This week we will continue our study by looking at 1 John 2:1-14. We will notice John states another one of his purposes: that the Christians he is writing to would avoid sin. However, when they do sin, he explains that true Christians can have confidence that they have been forgiven by Jesus’ work and thus should seek to walk in obedience. This includes love for one another. Listen in as we study the passage and apply biblical principles to our lives.
