Introduction to 1 John | 1 John 1:1-4

This week we will begin a new series called The Letters of John: A Study on First, Second, and Third John. The purpose of this series is to explore the truths found in John’s letters and apply them to our lives. What we will discover is that all three epistles were written to believers in order to help them live the Christian life. As we begin with 1 John, we will be introduced to the substance, experience, and purpose of his letter. The substance of John’s testimony is Jesus, the Word of Life. The experience of his testimony that makes him a credible author is that he was an eyewitness. Finally, the purpose of his testimony is so that his audience would have fellowship with God and His people. Listen in as we begin our series by studying 1 John 1:1-4.
